2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

8 ounces fettuccine pasta

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 small onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 bell pepper (red or yellow), sliced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Season the Chicken: While the pasta is cooking, sprinkle the Cajun seasoning evenly on both sides of the chicken breasts.

      Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and golden brown. Remove from the skillet and let them rest before slicing into strips.

        Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the chopped onion, garlic, and sliced bell pepper. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are softened and fragrant.

          Prepare the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Add the paprika and dried oregano. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Allow to cook for about 5 minutes, letting the sauce thicken slightly.

            Combine the Ingredients: Add the cooked fettuccine and sliced chicken back into the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated in the creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

              Serve: Plate the creamy Cajun chicken pasta, topped with freshly chopped parsley and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
