Ingredients
  

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cornstarch

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup cold water

Oil for frying

Honey Garlic Sauce:

1/2 cup honey

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

A pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions
 

In a bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add the cold water, whisking until the batter is smooth but thick.

    Heat oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Make sure the oil is hot before adding the chicken.

      Dip each chicken piece into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off, then carefully place them in the hot oil. Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure even cooking.

        Fry the chicken for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

          In a separate saucepan, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, grated ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until slightly thickened.
