Ingredients
  

4 cod fillets (6 oz each)

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1 lemon, zested and sliced

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Prepare Baking Dish: Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.

      Mix Breadcrumb Topping: In a mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, parsley, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Pour in the olive oil and mix until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated.

        Season the Cod: Place the cod fillets in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper on both sides.

          Add Topping: Evenly distribute the breadcrumb mixture over the top of each fillet, pressing down gently to adhere the topping.

            Add Lemon: Place lemon slices around the fillets in the dish for added flavor.

              Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cod flakes easily with a fork and the topping is golden brown.

                Serve: Remove from the oven and let the fish rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
