Ingredients

4 salmon fillets

1/2 cup teriyaki sauce

Juice of 1 orange

Zest of 1 orange

2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

In a medium bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, orange juice, orange zest, grated ginger, minced garlic, honey, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the marinade.

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Preheat your grill or oven to 400°F (200°C). If using the grill, lightly oil the grill grates or line a baking sheet with parchment paper for the oven.

Remove the salmon from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Reserve the marinade for glazing.

Grill the salmon for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. If baking, place salmon on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 12-15 minutes. Brush with the reserved marinade halfway through for added flavor.

Once cooked, remove the salmon from the heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes.

Serve the salmon hot, garnished with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Enjoy alongside steamed rice or roasted vegetables.
